Bitcoin Seems To Hit $50,000 Mark Soon

The good news for all of those who have invested in Bitcoin. Now the news agency dpa reports that the cryptocurrency is heading for a new record. On the Bitstamp trading platform, the price rose to $ 49,700.

That’s a new record and just under the magical limit of $ 50,000. For weeks you can watch the rapid increase in Bitcoin value. At the end of 2020, the cryptocurrency broke the $ 20,000 mark for the first time. The value has risen steadily since December, most recently fueled by Tesla boss Elon Musk. Since Musk had announced, on the one hand, that it would accept Bitcoin as a means of payment for a Tesla vehicle in the future, and on the other hand, invested heavily in Bitcoin himself, there was another surge in growth. Today, the Bitstamp trading platform reported a short-term high of around $ 49,700.

Bitcoin has never been worth as much as it is currently and the cryptocurrency has never experienced such a large increase either. There is a real hype about the popular crypto payment method.

Investors are betting that Bitcoin will manage to establish itself as a mainstream means of payment this year. In addition to Tesla, there are already corresponding announcements from PayPal, and this new acceptance makes Bitcoin more and more valuable. Bitcoin has been around for over twelve years now. The turn of the year 2020/2021, in particular, has now been extremely important for growth. The value has doubled within a short time. If this continues, the 100,000 mark will be within the reach.

The outlook is positive

It is currently not expected that a real drop in value will follow. However, the fluctuations could be greater, both upwards and downwards. A “crash” like the one around three years ago, in which the value dropped by around 70 percent, is not considered realistic. Experts currently consider it unlikely that something like this will happen again. However, fluctuations in the current rate are very likely, primarily due to deadweight effects.
