Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen is now on VR

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen is an awesome song by the band’s then vocalist and member, Freddie Mercury. It has epic lyrics coupled with guitar riffs that convey the true gist of music of the 70’s. Queen’s guitarist Brian May is a big supporter of virtual reality. Brian has also designed his very own mobile virtual reality glasses which he believes is a medium that will change the world.

Everyone can get a look off what the VR experience might look like through Brian’s eye with The Bohemian Rhapsody Experience. The interactive app is created by Queen, Google Play and studio Enosis VR.

The final product of it is being released on Android, today, and is making its way to iOS soon. A model version of the same VR experience was showcased at Google I/O and at Brian May’s own event earlier this year.

Viewers can watch the experience through Freddie Mercury’s subconscious through a Cardboard headset. Users can also user a flat screen as a looking glass into the world of the video, Bohemian Rhapsody.

In the description provided by Google about the app it is termed as a journey through the subconscious mind of the band’s front man. It is a collection of stories that Google has released in partnership with directors like Patrick Osborne and Justin Lin. The Verge reports that the video uses spatialized version of the song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen which makes the sound feel like it is changing when users turn their heads. It also is coupled with rich visuals which range from fantasy scenes to a neon rendering of Freddy Mercury. The VR piece is not on Youtube.

Google has been involved in VR pieces since, 2013. It was well advanced in the field before VR became popular. It is reportedly working with Youtube filmmakers and game companies to create content for its Daydream platform.
