Bunch Of New 3D Emojis Added To Microsoft Teams And Office

Microsoft is currently working on an extensive redesign for its emoji. Soon over 1800 emojis in 3D design will be available. Half of the emojis are animated smileys. The emoji are built into the Office apps and teams.

As Microsoft has pointed out to The Verge, the everyday work of the user is to be enriched with the “bright colors” of the new emoji. The three-dimensional representation should ensure a modern look. According to Redmond, the 3D emojis are “an extension of one’s own humanity” and “an important communication tool”. Some smileys have animations to make conversations much livelier and more dynamic.

For many users, the new paper clip symbol is likely to be the highlight of the emoji update. As we have already reported, the current black and white graphics will be replaced by Karl Klammer, an assistant known from Windows XP times. The helper should be known to most users under the name Clippy. The change seems to be well received by many users. The announcement tweet has already received more than 150,000 likes.

Rollout coming soon

It is not yet known when the new 3D emoji will appear. It is conceivable that the smileys will be gradually integrated into the various Microsoft products in the coming months. First, the operating systems Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as Microsoft Teams, should be the turn. At a later date, the 3D emoji should then be found in Outlook and Office apps such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
