China Mobile 5G Users Reached 165 Million

China Mobile today announced operating data for December 2020. In that month, the number of China Mobile’s mobile customers decreased by 1.792 million, bringing the total number of users to 94,191.8 million. For the whole year of 2020, the number of China Mobile’s mobile customers decreased by 8.359 million.

In the same month, the number of China Mobile 5G package customers increased by 17.621 million, reaching a total of 1650.3 million. Compared with the 2.55 million households at the end of 2019, a net increase of 162,453 million households is far beyond its target of a net increase of 70 million households expected in the 2019 annual performance report, with a completion rate of 232%.

In the same month, the number of 4G customers of China Mobile increased by 1.701 million, reaching a total of 775.306 million. In 2020, the total net increase was 17.292 million.

In the same month, China Mobile’s wireline customers added a net increase of 1.108 million in the month, reaching a total of 210321 million. In 2020, there will be a net increase of 23.28 million. It far exceeded its target of a net increase of 12 million households expected in its 2019 annual performance report, with a completion rate of 194%.
