Corel Changes Company Name To “Alludo”, Old Product Names Would Remain

The name Corel is one of those that every PC user is familiar with. The company has been offering software for Windows and macOS since 1985 and has swallowed up a number of developers in recent years – so now it’s time for a new group name.

At least that’s how you see it at the headquarters of the former “Corel Corporation”, which is now operating under the brand name Alludo (like “All You Do”). This change is reminiscent of Google/Alphabet and Facebook/Meta.

Product names would remain the same

The new umbrella brand name is intended to reflect the changes in the company. The names of the company’s well-known products, such as Corel PaintShop Pro and CorelDraw, will retain their existing branding. Alludo is best known in the creative software segment. PaintShop Pro, CorelDraw, VideoStudio, WinZip, WordPerfect Office, MindManager, and Parallels Desktop are among the group’s most popular applications. Corel Corporation becomes Alludo now.

The company justifies the rebranding as better reflecting its mission to empower knowledge workers with graphics, virtualization, and productivity solutions. According to the company, the Alludo name represents a unified identity and is a nod to the company’s purpose (“All You Do”). “The new brand Alludo is a turning point for us.

With it, we are creating a new concept that encompasses all our product lines, our customers, and our employees. We are laying the foundation for a new corporate identity that is dedicated to the future of work and we are making it to our new DNA,” explained Christa Quarles, CEO of Alludo. “With our solutions, our customers have the opportunity to work more efficiently and flexibly while at the same time being able to take more creative freedom.

They can work from anywhere and with any device and freely develop their creativity in brainstorming or design work. This also creates more time for family and life outside of work.”
