Dr. Disrespect To Sue Twitch After A Ban

A year ago, the game streaming platform Twitch experienced one of its biggest upsets so far: With Guy Beahm alias Dr. Disrespect, one of its biggest stars was thrown out completely surprisingly, shortly after he signed a multi-million dollar deal.

To this day it is unclear why and the expelled, who is now presenting his streams on YouTube, was apparently not informed too precisely why he was fired. At least officially, Beahm claimed that he hadn’t known why he was kicked out for a long time. What is clear, however, is that he has lost an exclusive deal worth a rumored ten million dollars a year.

Officially, the Amazon-owned game streaming platform remains silent, surprisingly, not a thing has leaked to the public to this day. But now Beahm has spoken up himself: In a video that could be seen on his YouTube channel this week, the streamer announced that he now knows why he was dropped by Twitch, VGC reported.

Lawsuit Awaiting

Beahm then announced legal action and said that his Twitch ban had massive consequences for his business, as he now earns just a quarter of what he used to earn.

“The Twitch ban has really affected us, not just financially, but also from a network perspective. So from all of the relationships we’ve built over the past five years with Activision and EA, I mean all of them the big sponsors, all the big partnerships, they have to ask themselves, ‘Why were you banned? “said Beahm.

Beahm continues: “A lot of people ask me: ‘Do you know the reason?’ Yeah, I’ve known the reason now, for months. And I’ll just put it this way, Champs, there’s a damn reason we’re suing her. I don’t know how else to put it. “
