E-ticketing System Launched in Islamabad

E-ticketing system has launched in Islamabad. Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has collaborated with National Bank of Pakistan and JS Bank to launch this system in the capital city of Pakistan.

It has now become easier for traffic violators to pay their challans. They can pay their challan in a couple of seconds and immediately take their documents backs from the traffic police officer.

Currently, on a trial run, this system is launched in 10 areas of Islamabad, these include Faisal Chowk, Melody Chowk, Aabpara Chowk, Secretariat Chowk, Zero Point, Radio Pakistan Chowk, Dhokri Chowk, and F-8 Exchange Chowk.

Islamabad traffic police have deployed almost 70 expert personals to ensure the effective implementation of this new system.

The challan will be issued via a mobile phone app by the traffic warden. Then the traffic violator will receive his bill or fine via SMS. The bill can be paid in just a minute through JS Mobile Wallet app.

Once the payment is done, the traffic officer will receive a message of confirmation. The documents will be returned by the officer to the traffic violator, there and then.

This step is quite commendable as now people will not have to stand in lines, and spent hours just to pay their traffic challan.

The challan can also be paid via National Bank of Pakistan branches and to 1760 other locations in Islamabad.

Similarly, in Lahore, the government is implementing a strategy by starting electronic ticketing system as well. The aim of the system is to diminish road accidents and ensure traffic safety and security.

In Islamabad or Lahore, theoretically this system appears quite amazing and effective yet there will be issues in its implementation. This is the reason that for now it is being introduced on trial basis in Islamabad. Once people understand it, it will be launched all over the city.
