Elon Musk Announces Various Improvements In Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla presented its Cybertruck around a year ago, but the futuristic-looking vehicle has been rather quiet in the past few months. But now Elon Musk has once again commented on this and promised numerous improvements.

The Cybertruck is undoubtedly an eye-catcher and has also received a lot of media coverage, but all of the questions about it have not yet been answered. Because as futuristic and eye-catching as the car looks, there are still some doubts about the roadworthiness of the Cybertruck. It is currently not clear when production can actually start; the corona crisis has certainly overturned the plans for this.

As the electric mobility blog Electrek reports, Elon Musk has now spoken out about the Cybertruck again. During a conference call following the announcement of the current (good) figures from the car manufacturer, the Tesla boss was asked for an update on the Cybertruck production plans.

Improvements in progress

Musk also gave information, saying that he had recently spoken to Franz von Holzhausen, the head of design at Tesla, about a design review. “Some improvements to the cybertruck” were targeted. The CEO of the electric car manufacturer said that they always try to improve concept cars. And you do that very differently than other manufacturers because they usually water down such pre-series designs very strongly.

Tesla also wants to improve the cybertruck, but essentially leave it as it is. Musk: “There are a lot of small improvements compared to what was revealed. I think it will be better than what we showed.

No cybertruck without a Gigafactory

On the subject of production, Musk said that it is linked to the completion of the Gigafactory in Austin: “That depends on the completion of this factory because there are some new technologies with the particularly tough exoskeleton. This has never been done before, so that likely to be some challenges. “
