Facebook introduces new features to stream live video games

Facebook is reportedly adding new features to make it possible for gamers to broadcast their video game play to other Facebook users to watch.

Facebook has launched recently a gaming creator program in January, which pays professional players to broadcast their exclusive gameplay to Facebook users, the social media giant on Thursday has revealed the gaming creator page, it will serve as a portal for live and prerecorded gaming video.

The new platform is available at https://facebook.com/gaming it will help gamers to discover gaming video based on creators and games they follow, groups they follow and the pages they like said Facebook.

The gaming portal will also feature creators, e-sports competitions as well as the content from gaming industry events.

Facebook’s move is amid the popularity of e-sports and growing interest in online gaming, in e-sports top gamers around the globe get together and battle each other in the wide range of titles over the internet.

E-sports worth $450 million in 2016 is expected to grow fast and reach $1 billion by the next year. Facebook’s move is right in time to grab the opportunity in growing industry.

Facebook has also launched a Level Up program, a program that will help beginning streamers build a fan base and make money from fan subscriptions. The Level Up members will have the opportunity to gain access to new features early.
