Facebook Launches New Messaging App for Couples

A new app has been launched by Facebook for couples. The aim of the app is to allow couples to share a private space online, “even when you’re apart.” Tuned, the app, permits couples to share pictures, notes, cards, voice memos, music from Spotify and even their moods.

Also, there is a daily diary feature in the app. Facebook has named it “a private space where you and your significant other can just be yourselves.”  

It is basically a digital scrapbook-style feed that is private to each couple. Also, it has custom reactions and stickers.

NPE Team by Facebook, which created Tuned on the App Store said, “With Tuned, you can be as mushy, quirky, and silly as you are together in person.”

Even though the App is billed as Private, Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment on whether the app like WhatsApp is encrypted or whether the data is shared with Facebook and then used by the app for advertising purposes.

Tuned is available for free download on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. This app has been launched amid the coronavirus outbreak. It has been launched at a time when a couple might be apart, practicing social distancing to control the spread of the coronavirus.
