Facebook Messenger Now Allow Users to Lock their Chats behind Face ID
Facebook has added another security layer for users opening their Messenger app on an iPhone or iPad. Now users can add Face ID or Touch ID to open the Messenger app, once it is locked.
What this means is that users can unlock their phone, give it to their friends or family if they wish to, but they will still not be able to access your Messenger chats.
App Lock is the name of the new feature which would be available for Facebook Messenger. The aim of this feature to provide extra security and privacy to the users.
Furthermore, the app will add a Privacy section to the settings of the app. A single location will be given to the users to control different features including App Lock, along with users blocked by them. Currently, App Lock is available to iPhone and iPad, but in a few months’ time it would also be available on Android.
