Features of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra AI Camera are coming to older flagship models

Recently, Xiaomi debuted the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro in a launch event in China. Besides the announcement of the new smartphone, the company shared details about the software updates for the Xiaomi 14 series and Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

According to details, the ‘Master Portrait’ feature will arrive on Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro next month. However, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will receive this feature in June. This feature, which made its debut on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, makes use of the Xiaomi Portrait LM AI portrait large model to provide features like AI wrinkle reduction, skin tone evening, and teeth and eye augmentation. In addition to this, it has support for 4K 120fps high frame rate slow motion, high-resolution recording with 4K 60fps continuous zoom, and full-range 8K 30fps video recording.

Furthermore, Xiaomi will release another update named Xiaomi AISP (Xiaomi AI Image Semantic Processor) in June. It is referred as the first AI large model computational photography platform. It can reach up to 60TOPS by incorporating processing power of CPU, GPU, NPU, and ISP which is leveraged by Xiaomi’s HyperOS.

Features such as ULTRA RAW super negative, which is compatible with professional editing tools and delivers excellent color depth and dynamic range, are made possible by this. Additionally, AISP has a ULTRA SNAP capability that uses sophisticated algorithms to take 150 pictures.

The newly launched Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro features a Leica triple camera setup and a customized Light Fusion 800 sensor. It integrates Xiaomi AISP (Imaging Brain 3.0) through which the total processing power is increased by 69%, enabling faster continuous shooting. It comes with a new AI GAN beauty algorithm. With the help of this, natural-looking beauty effects personalized to individual facial features are also possible.
