First impression of the new foldable from Asus

Asus presented a new notebook with a flexible OLED display at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, which can be folded out to a remarkable 17.3 inches. The device is one of the highlights of this year’s fair. After the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is only the second notebook with a foldable screen so far, but which is now a good bit larger. While the OLED display measures 12.3 inches (1920 x 1280 pixels, 3: 2 format) in “notebook mode”, users hold a 17.3-inch screen (2560 x 1920 pixels, 4: 3) when opened Format) in the hands.

This can be set up with an integrated kickstand. The keyboard is attached magnetically and can of course also be used further away from the screen. The other equipment of the not exactly slim notebook includes a 5-megapixel front camera, an Intel Core i7 U-CPU of the twelfth generation, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB internal storage. The device is slated to hit the market this summer, but Asus has not yet announced a price or an exact date.
