A game developer has eliminated a decade -old bug in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, who has appeared since the introduction of Windows 11 version 24H2. Thanks to his work, GTA fans can now also use the aircraft under Windows 11.
Like the developer Adrian in his Silent patch blog reported, he was drawn attention to a bug in connection with Windows 11 24h2 by a Github user at GTA: San Andreas. The latter made sure that the “Skimmer” aircraft cannot be seen in the cult game under the latest Windows version.
Apparently the GTA developers had made a mistake at work on the game, which made the last four parameters missing in the configuration file for the various vehicles of the game in the data for the water plane. So far, however, this mistake has not been noticeable because Windows “overlooked” the lack of parameters when charging the game.
On Windows 11 24H2, however, Microsoft has made changes that led to the error that has been given since the launch of GTA: San Andreas with a curious behavior of the game. Because the new operating system does not simply use the values of the vehicle listed above for the aircraft when loading the file, but adjusts the stack pointer by four bytes, a gigantic value is used for the size of the “wheels” of the aircraft.
This error results in an effect that ensures that the skimmer aircraft in GTA: SA is simply not rendered by the game under Windows 11 24h2. Basically, this is due to the fact that the aircraft is located outside the display area of the graphic engine due to the gigantic heel.
In order to remove the error, you have to search out the line 460, Skimmer in the Vehicles.ide configuration file under Windows 11 24H2 and add the values ”-1, 0.7, 07, -1″ to the end of the line and then save the file. Afterwards the skimmer airplane should be visible again and can then be loud Tom’s hardware to be used again without further notice to play through Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the 50th time.
