For gaming smartphones, Infinix presents the Coolmax prototype cooling technology

Infinix

Gaming smartphones are becoming a popular smartphone category with every passing day. From this perspective, a company named Infinix has introduced something new and unique. Reportedly, the company has introduced CoolMax. It is a prototype cooling technology that will keep the smartphones cool during heavy usage.

CoolMax significantly lowered the chipset’s temperature by 10 degrees Celsius

The company tested the new technology by incorporating it in a concept gaming device. The new technology features impressive results. Reportedly, it can reduce the temperature of chipset by 10°C. CoolMax is basically an internal system coupled with thermo-electric cooler and a fan. They are placed directly over the processor. The processor and the new tech are separated by thermal paste. The ineffectiveness of external coolers is avoided with this configuration.

The prototype is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. The chipset features four Cortex-X4 cores that offers a remarkable 2.2 million AnTuTu score. An AI platform that strategically divides tasks across the CPU cores to ensure peak performance is responsible for this accomplishment. Remember, though, that this is a prototype gadget, and these figures are not based on actual situations.

The other gaming phones are based on air cooling mechanism. Compared to these, the CoolMax is way too efficient than the simple air circulation. In simple words, gamers can enjoy better performance without the fear of device overheating. Besides the cooling mechanism, the concept device features a Pixelworks visual processor that assist the GPU. In this way, it can offer display refresh rates up to 180Hz for FHD+ and 144Hz for QHD+ resolutions. It can be a new standard for gaming smartphones. Later this year, the company intends to debut a gaming smartphone. Currently, there are no details about the specs of this device. However, we can expect some high-end specs.
