Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 may get metal frames instead of plastic

Samsung’s best-selling range is unquestionably the Galaxy A series, with the Galaxy A5x models being among its most popular models for a considerable amount of time. This is still one of the company’s most sought-after series outside of the flagships.

Their plastic frames are by no means luxurious, despite their long-standing billing as premium mid-range products, but that could be about to change in 2024. According to a recent rumor, the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 will both have metal frames instead of plastic ones.

Next year, certain Galaxy A versions might feature a metal frame

The rumor originates from an X tipster with a passable reputation. There are rumours circulating that Samsung will no longer utilize plastic frames for these mid-range devices. Both devices might come with metal frames. If this is the case, these devices’ appearance will immediately be improved. Customers who had been hoping that Samsung would make this adjustment for a while would be happy about it, especially because there had previously been Galaxy A series phones with metal frames.

The Galaxy A35’s design is expected to be more in line with Samsung’s top models, as hinted by leaked renders of the device. The Infinity-O display on the Galaxy A35, which houses the front-facing camera inside a notch, is one significant improvement. The U-shaped cutout found on earlier models is eliminated.

This gadget and the Galaxy A55 are probably going to be powered by Samsung’s recently released Exynos 1480 chipset. Up to 8GB of RAM and a GPU based on AMD RDNA2 are combined with it. Pre-installed will be Android 14 One UI 6.0, and the devices should support up to four Android OS upgrades. Anticipate Samsung to introduce the new Galaxy A series shortly after the January 2019 launch of the Galaxy S24 family.
