Galaxy A52 Midrange To Have 120Hz Refresh Rate

Galaxy-A52

The first specifications and prices of the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G are now followed by the next surprise in the mid-range. According to insider information, the popular smartphone series will have displays with refresh rates of 90Hz and 120Hz this year.

As the colleagues from SamMobile have found out, the South Korean manufacturer Samsung is planning a further step to further improve the price-performance ratio of its best-selling Galaxy A series. If you trust the previously unconfirmed rumours, the 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy A52, which is expected for March, will be equipped with a 90Hz screen. The Super AMOLED displays of the more expensive 5G model, on the other hand, should even have a refresh rate of 120Hz.

High refresh rates are becoming the mid-range standard

So far it was assumed that Samsung will continue to offer its mid-range smartphones in the price range below 500 euros with classic 60 Hz displays. Now at least 90 Hz could become the new standard. Aside from the refresh rates, the new Galaxy A52 series will be equipped with Snapdragon 720G (4G) and Snapdragon 750G chips (5G) from Qualcomm. In addition, there could be six to eight gigabytes of RAM and storage configurations with 128 GB and 256 GB. A 6.5-inch OLED display with a Full HD + resolution and a quad-camera system with up to 64 megapixels are also forecasted.

Finally, the experts assume that Samsung will permanently integrate a 4500 mAh battery into the Galaxy A52, which should be able to be charged with up to 25 watts. Google Android 11 and the in-house One UI 3.1 should be installed ex-works. Similar key data are also expected for the almost identical Galaxy A72. In terms of price, the 5G version of the Galaxy A52, which is more attractive thanks to 120 Hz, could be priced at 450 to 500 euros, while the 4G model is expected to be around 400 euros. Availability is expected by the end of March.
