Galaxy S25 Slim will not launch in spring

Samsung is definitely working on a fourth, special variant of the Galaxy S25, which will appear in addition to the usual three models. However, this “Galaxy S25 Slim” is not expected to be part of the launch of the S25 series, which is expected in early 2025. OnLeaks / Android Headlines

Leaker confirms fourth S25 model

Anyone who is currently planning to bring a so-called Samsung Galaxy S25 “Slim” onto the market as an addition to the line-up in spring 2025 due to recent rumors will most likely be disappointed. The “Slim” model is only expected later.

As the German blogger Max Jambor, who is known for his good contacts with people close to Samsung, announced on Threads, Samsung is only planning a later launch of the additional S25 model, which was recently spotted in the GSMA’s IMEI database under the model number SM-S937. This is actually not surprising.

S25 ‘Slim’ not yet in databases

The other Galaxy S25 models have long since appeared in relevant databases, as is usual before a market launch. Some of the new top smartphones have been listed there for months, while recently they have also been increasingly listed in benchmark results in tools such as Geekbench.

The SM-S937, on the other hand, is not even listed in import/export databases, so unlike the other S25 models, the production of components may not have started yet. While the regular S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra have been manufactured in large quantities for a few weeks, the S25 “Slim” is still in the middle of development. According to Jambor, it is not certain that the introduction will even take place.

Incidentally, he also spoke to us about a specific model number that has the suffix “B”, which speaks for an introduction in Europe. All Samsung smartphones available in this country with 5G support have had the suffix “B” for years, as is also the case with the Galaxy S25 (SM-S931B), Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936B) and Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S936B).
