Galaxy S25 Ultra Screen gets bigger and edges narrower
The next generation of Galaxy smartphones is expected in January or February 2025. But there is already information about the S25 Ultra. According to this, Samsung is tinkering with the dimensions and making the phone even more handy. At the same time, the screen will be larger. Samsung
Attention is focused on S25
In January, Samsung introduced its new Galaxy S24 models. At the beginning of July, the foldables were added with the Galaxy Flip6 and Fold6. This means that all of the Korean company’s major innovations for 2024 are on the market. And so attention is now turning to the upcoming devices. Above all, the Galaxy S25 smartphones, which are expected in early 2025.
Smaller phone, bigger screen
A post on X by leaker IceUniverse now reveals details about the dimensions of the S25 Ultra and provides information about the size of the built-in screen. According to this, the phone’s display is said to be even larger than its predecessor.
While the screen on the Galaxy S24 Ultra was 6.79 inches, it is said to grow to 6.86 inches on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. At the same time, however, the overall size of the smartphone is shrinking. While the S25 Ultra was 7.9 centimeters wide, the S25 Ultra is a bit slimmer at just 7.76 centimeters. The new dimensions are roughly the same as those of the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
As with the iPhone, thinner screen bezels ensure the larger display while reducing the size of the device. Samsung has made the bezels thinner with each generation of Galaxy S flagships in recent years. The S25 Ultra is no exception. By slimming down the device, it will be a bit more comfortable for people with smaller hands to hold and operate the rather large Ultra model with one hand.
New camera and new chip
Other information that has already surfaced suggests that the new smartphone generation will have a significantly improved camera system, which will include a 200-megapixel sensor for the main camera. The phones could also be equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 SoC with a structure width of just three nanometers.
