Good news for Galaxy Z Flip 4 users in the United States! Following the release of the February 2025 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung has now started rolling out the same update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Currently, the update is only available for the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 (model number SM-F721U). It’s live for users on DISH, MetroPCS, and T-Mobile, and brings the firmware version up to F721USQS7GYA5. Other variants should receive the update soon, so keep an eye out if you’re using a different version.
If you own a carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the US, you might have already received a notification for the update. Simply tap on it and select Download and install to get started. Didn’t see the notification? No problem—head to Settings » Software update » Download and install to manually check for the latest firmware. Alternatively, you can grab it from our firmware section for faster access.
While the security update is great, Galaxy Z Flip 4 owners are still waiting for Samsung to roll out Android 15-based One UI 7.0. The delay has frustrated many, especially since Samsung hasn’t provided any updates on when users can expect the release. Hopefully, there’s news on this soon!
Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to download the latest patch to keep your device secure.
