The new Apple software update for its phones and tablets is of little use, but it’s probably the one users should install right away.
According to information, iOS 14.4.1 and iPadOS 14.4.1 serve one purpose only, but it’s an important one – fixing a bug in WebKit. WebKit is Safari’s rendering engine that executes arbitrary malicious code during its processing of maliciously crafted content.
The problem is that there was a memory corruption issue in WebKit that could be exploited until now.
To download the new update on a supported Apple device (iPhones and iPad), go to Settings > General > Software Update.
