Last September, Sony and the Sucker Punch Studio with Ghost of Yotei announced a successor to Ghost of Tsushima, but has not yet announced an appearance date. Now it is clear: The game will be released on October 2, 2025, initially exclusively for PlayStation 5.
The appointment was accompanied by a new trailer that contains a mix of in-game video sequences and actual game scenes. Among other things, we see how the new protagonist Atsu travels by revenge through the 17th century Japan to find retaliation for the murder of her family. Specifically, the names of the notorious gang of Yotei-Sech, the members of which are also known as the snake, the oni, the kitsune, the spider, the dragon and Prince Saito. As the developers explain, the video also shows a new mechanics with which players can look into the past and thus understand Atsus motivation even better.
Pre -orders from Ghost of Yotei are possible from May 2. Interested parties can then choose between different editions, whereby the Collector’s Edition, in addition to the game and all digital bonus content, also a faithful replica of Atsus Geistmask, a replica of Atsus sash, a replica of the Tsuba by Atsus Katana, a bag with coins and a game instruction for the skill game Zeni Hajiki, a foldable paper art-ginkgo tree and contains an artificial card set. So far, Sony has not given a prize.
