Gmailers Can Now Receive 50mb of Attachments: On Receiving Emails

When Google Drive, One Drive and Dropbox came it became really handy in sending and receiving heavier files on the internet, thanks to those services that are still accommodating users. But now the job can be done even much quicker with Gmail accounts.

Gmail users can now receive attachments up to 50 megabytes in order to receive files from other email providers.

Google in a blog post has mentioned, “While Google Drive offers a convenient way to share files in any size, sometimes you may need to send and receive large files through email attachments. So starting today, you will be able to receive emails of up to 50MB directly in your Gmail accounts”

But still its restricted, Google would not allow you to send huge files via attachments, and hasn’t changed the existing 25 megabyte cap on all outgoing messages. But Gmail users, can easily share larger files by linking to files stored in Google Drive.

Regardless, it will help Gmail users who receive oversized files, such as videos, spreadsheets, and other attachments, sent from other email providers.

The new size limit is available to all G Suite editions and will roll out in the next coming days.
