Google Adds Creative Tools: Magic Eraser and HDR For Google Photos and Videos

Google One members on Android, iOS and Pixel now have access to new photo editing features, including the magic eraser and other editing features on Google Photos, including videos.

The company reports this in a brief announcement. The new range of functions when editing photos and videos is impressive: Google One members receive exclusive collage styles, an HDR effect for videos, and free shipping for their print jobs. The HDR effect is primarily used to adjust brightness and contrast. This function was previously only available for photos and is now also applicable to videos.

Finally no longer “pixel exclusive” after a long time

The newly launched Magic Eraser in Apps can enhance photos by removing unwanted objects in a few clicks. The Magic Eraser is no longer exclusive to Pixel.

The Google blog says: “First, all Google Photos users can now apply styles to a single photo in the collage editor. Second, for Google One members and Pixel users, there are a number of new styles for the collage editor, so you can do more when creating your collages and have designs to choose from.”

Finally, Google One members who wish to have their photos printed in a variety of sizes can benefit from free shipping on their Print Store orders in Canada, the UK, the US, and the European Union. These new features are available to all Pixel users and Google One members on all plans. Those who don’t have a Google One subscription can start with a free trial of Google Photos in early March to access these features.

The improved Google Photos features are now available for Google One members on the Android and iOS apps. This also applies to free shipping on Print Store orders for Google One members.
