Google expands its wellness centers for employee’s healthcare

Google has a long history of ensuring that its employees are properly attired in the office, much like a spoilt parent overindulging their child. The organization provides a wide range of benefits, starting with the expected ones like medical insurance and flexible scheduling. But it also used to provide stranger perks like on-site haircuts, laundry services, and nap pods. The Mountain Valley-based business is now upgrading its on-site wellness centers in terms of health care support.

Google is increasing the number of workplace wellness facilities available to Americans

According to 9to5Google, the firm declared that it is boosting the number of wellness centers throughout the United States to assist a rising number of Google employees.

According to 9to5Google, the firm declared that it is growing the number of wellness centers throughout the United States to serve an increasing number of Google employees, or “Googlers.” The people at 9to5Google, who were informed of the development, add that the company’s decision is “to coincide with the return to office trend.”

Google’s first wellness facility debuted in the Mountain View/Bay Area in 2010. Since then, it has already been extended to Seattle/Kirkland, Cambridge, and New York. The center is currently being brought to Austin, Boulder, and Chicago locations by the company. The centers already provide health services to tens of thousands of Google employees. Therefore, it makes sense that the expansion will aid even more employees.

All employees will be able to access on-campus medical treatment thanks to the company’s centers. The list of services includes standard medical procedures including yearly physicals and flu vaccines. However, the program also offers counselling in health, lab orders, physical therapy, and chiropractic care.

The expansion is anticipated to provide Googlers with more locations as well as other services like an on-site pharmacy, dermatology, gynecology, and others. Additionally, our partners at 9to5Google note that although help is now being offered to foreign workers visiting the US. The company’s decision to increase employees’ access to health care is a positive one, particularly in terms of mental health. A recent study brought to light growing worries about the connection between increased stress levels and employment in the technology sector. So, the business is undoubtedly headed in the correct direction.
