Google declared a public preview of its Google Home app for Wear OS smartwatches in October 2022. The app was only consistent for Wear OS 3 smartwatches. At the time of its launch, it lacked many modern features. but still, it was a development that users could look up to. As of today, Google has announced some major updates for the Public Preview. This news was shared by Google via Twitter.
Quite a lot of feedback poured in following the launch of Public Preview. The users urged to bring some changes and modifications to the Home app for Wear OS. As of now, not only the performance and efficiency of the app has been improved, but a new list view has also been added. Thus, making the navigation view less complicated.
The menu will no longer show the scroll list of connected devices. Given the fact that you have ten or fewer devices available in your home. Well, previously the app consisted of rooms. These rooms could be selected by users to view the connected devices. Thus, providing the users with more control. But now this feature won’t work any longer. Once the app is launched the users will be provided with direct access to devices.
Eager to try this new update. Just wait a few more days till Google starts rolling out the update. Although, this is just a small change. But it will have a huge impact on the users inclined to use the Home app on Wear OS smartwatches.
