Google Introduces NotebookLM Plus as a New Benefit for Google One AI Premium Subscribers

Google has announced an exciting new perk for Google One AI Premium plan subscribers. As part of this subscription, users now have access to NotebookLM Plus, a powerful upgrade to Google’s research tool that offers five times higher usage limits compared to free users. This initiative aims to attract more users to the Google One AI Premium plan.

What is NotebookLM and Why Does It Matter?

NotebookLM, a research tool that gained popularity last year, allows users to upload content, summarize it, ask questions, and even transform it into podcast-style audio discussions.

The new NotebookLM Plus offers an array of enhanced features, including:

  • Over five times more Audio Overviews, notebooks, and sources per notebook.
  • Customization options for notebook responses, including style and length.
  • Notebook sharing with friends or family members, complete with usage analytics.

NotebookLM Plus was previously available to businesses, schools, and enterprises via Google Workspace. Now, Google One AI Premium subscribers can access it at no extra cost, making it a valuable addition to the plan.

Special Offer for Students

To make the Google One AI Premium plan more accessible, Google is offering a 50% discount for students. For 12 months, eligible students in the US aged 18 and older can subscribe for just $9.99/month, bringing powerful AI tools within reach.

Other Benefits of the Google One AI Premium Plan

In addition to NotebookLM Plus, subscribers receive:

  • 2 TB of storage.
  • Gemini access in Google Workspace apps like Gmail and Google Docs.
  • Gemini Advanced, featuring Google’s most capable AI models.
  • Unlimited Magic Editor saves in Google Photos.
  • Priority access to future innovations from Google.

The Gemini 2.0 Flash Model

Google recently announced the rollout of its Gemini 2.0 Flash model, which is now the default for all Gemini app users on web and mobile. This model is twice as fast as the previous Gemini 1.5 Pro model and delivers better performance on key benchmarks.

With these updates, Google continues to make its AI-powered tools more accessible and affordable, enabling users to take full advantage of advanced AI capabilities. Interested in learning more? Check out the full announcement here.
