Google launches ‘Project Tailwind’ an experimental AI tool

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly incorporating different sectors of the tech world. Just recently, Google held its I/O 2023 event. During the event, Google made a number of announcements related to AI. Reportedly, the company introduced new AI tools for Search and Workspace. Besides this, the company has opened a public waitlist for MusicLM (AI music creation tool by Google). In addition to this, the company has also unveiled a new experimental AI tool named Project Tailwind.

The company has detailed Project Tailwind as an “AI-first notebook.” The company referred to this tool as “instructed in the information you choose and trust”. This tool can help users make notes by sorting out the information provided in the documents users upload on it. Documents can be uploaded or selected from the ones saved in Google Drive. After performing a document analysis, Tailwind will immediately develop an AI model that is proficient in the data provided in that document.

Users can then create notes. The tool will provide users with all relevant information on any topic. The AI tool can even create a summary of any topic.  It can also cite information sources. Other functionalities of this tool include providing users with additional ideas for notes and a Reading Quiz. Well, the tool appears quite promising owing to its unique features.

The new AI tool is currently in the experimental stage

At the Google I/O event, the company announced that Project Tailwind is a prototype. It has been put together during the last few weeks. Currently, it is in the experimental stage. There is no ETA for a public release yet. However, US users can join an open waitlist to access this feature. Google will notify the users whenever the tool is available. Right now, we have to wait for the public release of Project Tailwind.
