Google Messages App Updated With New Features Transcriptions, Emojis, and Reactions

Google Messages app has been a side dish for many users using Android devices, but the continuous innovation brings it under the spotlight, A new report from 9to5Google confirms some interesting features that are being updated in the app.

Google Messages can now receive voice messages and transcript them into text, it sometimes happens when you are not able to listen to the messages whether out loud or holding the phone near your ear. This feature becomes handy at that time when it transcripts the message for you and displays it as text on your messages app.

The images show how the voice messages are transcripted in the app, it takes roughly 10 seconds to transcript the message. The transcription can also be managed easily in the settings.

On the other hand, the Google Messages app also allows users to ding an emoji in reaction to any message that they receive over RCS. The update allows users to react to messages with any emoji. Going more into the details, the thumbs-down emoji is replaced by an icon that shows all the other emojis. Google has tested the features manually and the users on both ends could receive the emojis without enabling or disabling the feature.

The update also includes a new gallery where users can select the prewritten messages before sending them to their friends. The attachment menu will pop up to select the photo which can then be scrolled vertically to see all the available photos.
