Google Pixel 4a: Would Not Release Until October With Different Name

While the Google Pixel 4a would probably have been announced for the Google I/O in May without the corona crisis, there is no trace of the device to this day. New indications indicate that the smartphone could only appear in autumn and under a different name.

After the launch event for the first beta version of Android 11 had to be canceled due to the unrest in the United States, it is currently pretty unclear how to proceed with regard to the Google Pixel 4a. According to YouTuber Jon Posser, the smartphone should already have been produced and should therefore already be available. The currently difficult market situation is said to be responsible for the delays.

The presentation is expected to take place on July 13th. The Google Pixel 4a will probably only be delivered at a much later time. The system should state that the black color variant can be purchased from October 22nd. The blue model is said to have been completely deleted.

A stripped-down version of the Pixel 5 possible

Due to the large shift, it would be conceivable that the Google Pixel 4a will be launched under a completely different name. In the end, the device could only be a slimmed-down variant or a lite version of the Pixel 5. This also suspects Max Weinbach, who is known for numerous leaks in the smartphone area. It remains to be seen what the new model will really be called later.

The device, which was previously known as Google Pixel 4a, is a mid-range smartphone. The 128GB variant is said to have a comparatively low price of $399. The previous model Pixel 3a was then offered for $449. The new Google smartphone is said to be equipped with a Snapdragon 730, six gigabytes of RAM, and a 5.81-inch display.
