Google Pixel 5a 5G to come with Snapdragon 765G chipset

Google is all set to introduce the Pixel 5a on June 11. The device is said to have dimensions closer to the Pixel 4a 5G rather than the smaller Pixel 4a.

It is leaked before the official announcement that this phone will come with the Snapdragon 765G chipset under the hood, which is similar to the Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5. However, that SoC is getting outdated, especially since we have the Snapdragon 780G and powering phones like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.

The news was confirmed through code found in the Android 12 Developer Preview 3 and shared by GSM Arena. Some lines are referencing the Pixel 5a 5G’s codename and the Snapdragon 765G’s model number together.

No other information for the Pixel 5a 5G has been leaked so far. So stay tuned!
