Google Pixel 6 will come with the so-called Whitechapel chip

We are already receiving some new leaks about the upcoming Pixel 6 and 5a. So, we receive one more tip from tipster Max Weinbach.

According to the source, the so-called Whitechapel chip won’t be as powerful as the Snapdragon 888 or Samsung’s Exynos 2100. It will still follow a 5nm tech and fall somewhere between the Snapdragon 865 and 888 in terms of raw performance.

However, the special thing about this new SoC is the NPU (Neural Processing Unit) and ISP (Image Signal Processor) inside. However, they are not new to the Pixel devices but were missing from last year’s release. According to information, the NPU and ISP offer better-looking images with the help of computational photography. Some leaks suggest that a big 50MP main sensor paired with an ultrawide and an 8MP 5x zoom camera will be employed.

Moreover, the tipster explains that the orange version of Pixel 6, spotted recently, will be more of a peach, not Pink (Pixel 3) and gold combo. Green, silver, and black colors are also in the works.

We also heard from a report that Google will be busy aggressively marketing campaigns, rivaling Samsung’s S series. Google seems really excited about its upcoming phone and is confident that it will be one of the best 2021 flagships.

We also expect Google to bring the new Google Watch and Pixel 5a with the Pixel 6 in October. However, if chip shortages continue, a November release date is quite possible.
