Google Search will launch a feature similar to Stories soon

Until now, several companies have introduced the stories feature on their platforms. Originally, the Stories feature was introduced by Snapchat a decade ago. Surprisingly, tech giant Google is about to adopt the Stories feature. As per the available information, the tech giant is testing Notes (Google’s Stories feature) for Google Search.

This is a bit strange since users rely on Google for searching for information instead of social posts. However, this serves more as a quick way to learn more about a page before pulling up a result. Currently, there are not many details about this feature. Reportedly, two different sources, i.e., 9to5Google and AssembleDebug, have highlighted the news. As of now, the feature is under testing.

The place-saver language makes it appear as though this tool is mostly for leaving website feedback. You’ll notice the sentence, “What did you think of this link? or Maintain a helpful and cordial tone when you try to write a Note. You will therefore be able to put your ideas on the page. Well, this can be simply done in text format. However, a Story-like post might work as an attractive and engaging feature.

Furthermore, users can add animated stickers, images, backgrounds, and different styles of text to Stories. Such elements make it appear different from the one presented on Snapchat or Instagram. Besides this, users can also like another person’s Note. While composing a post, the name and picture of the user will be visible to other users. The personal Google account will serve as the user’s profile.

Well, this is quite interesting. However, there are certain exceptions to this feature, like websites that show medical information, pornographic content, or violence that won’t be able to leave Notes. Currently, the company is testing the new feature as part of the Google Labs experiment. Users who have joined this program might be able to access this feature. However, the feature will require some time before making its public release.
