During CES 2020, Google announced that Google Assistant will be able to read websites. This will allow easier access to information, especially for visually impaired people.
Also, it will translate text from one of the 42 languages before reading it, in case the content is written in a language you can not comprehend.
All users need to do is load up a site on an Android phone and then say “Hey Google, read it” or “Hey Google, read this page.” Saying this, Google Assistant will read it back to you.

Due to the improvements, Google Assistant has made to its voice datasets, the voice has started to sound less robotic. But it still sounds a bit funky hearing a complete news article or story in a robotic voice. It will take time to get adjusted to.
Google said it is working to “include auto-scroll and text highlighting capabilities”. This will allow users to follow along with the text as it is read to you.

It is expected that this feature will be launched sometime later in 2020 as it depends on Google Assistant it will be solely for Android users.
