GTA 6 To Release In April 2024

When will GTA 6 appear? A question that has caused wild speculation in recent years. Now Rockstar mother Take-Two is once again bringing light into the darkness and is again promising a release date for Grand Theft Auto VI from April 2024 – including record earnings.

GTA 6 should flush billions into the coffers

With over 180 million copies sold, GTA 5 is one of the best-selling games worldwide after Minecraft. Accordingly, the cash registers are ringing at Rockstar Games and the parent company Take-Two. The announcement of a significant increase in sales by the publisher is always accompanied by new rumors about the release of the successor – Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6).

As early as May, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick gave a more than positive sales forecast for the 2025 financial year. Net sales are expected to exceed $8 billion between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025. A huge jump compared to the current fiscal year, in which the company expects sales of $5 billion.

Clear release prospects between the lines

On the occasion of the publication of the latest quarterly figures, Zelnick once again underlines that GTA 6 can be expected from April 2024 at the earliest, but in the first quarter of 2025 at the latest. “We remain confident in positioning our company for a significant inflection point in fiscal 2025, which we believe will result in new records in operational performance,” the CEO told GamesBeat.

When asked why Zelnick was so confident about a good fiscal 2025, the Take-Two boss replied, “Our previous release schedule.” According to experts as GamesRadar reported, it can be clearly read between the lines that the release of GTA 6 is no longer in the stars, but is already being clocked in by the publisher.

An official announcement, a first trailer, or any information about the setting of Grand Theft Auto VI could be imminent. It wouldn’t be unusual to slowly build up the GTA 6 hype about a year in advance. After all, the projected development costs of more than one billion US dollars should be recouped in a timely manner.
