According to him, it is going to be the sole iPad update for the current year. There will reportedly be no launch event, and the device will debut with just a press release. Well, this is something Apple does with smaller launches. Gurman claims that the iPad Air 6 will include some improved specs and features. However, it might be a minor update.
Gurman did state that the launch would take place in October, but he does not anticipate an event. He anticipates it to be similar to how the M2 Pro and M2 Max Macbook Pros were introduced earlier this year, which was through a press release and a brief product announcement video. He questions whether Apple will have enough new items to reveal to convince everyone to travel to Cupertino for another event.
