HandBrake, a video converter, has been updated to handle 10-bit AV1 and VP9 video encoding

The widely used video editor “HandBrake” came with great improvements in its recent update. The update includes features like AV1 and VP9 10-bit coders and many more, including optimizations.

Handbrake’s New Features

With settings for everything from the iPhone to Apple TV, HandBrake is the ready tool for individuals who wish to convert current video content into space-efficient formats for viewing on iOS devices. It was originally designed for ripping DVDs. It is open source, free, and available for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

With its latest version, it came up with great improvements. It’s now providing support for AV1, VP9 10-bit, NVENC HEVC 10-bit, and VCN HEVC 10-bit video. The recent update has brought some marvelous improvements to bit depth and color depth support for many encoders and filters, including 4K AVI and 4K HEVC.

The 4:2:2 H.265 profile is now available for video toolbox encoders on Apple silicon Macs.The latest update of the application provides perfect support for Intel deep hyper-encoding to improve the quality of performance while working with multiple QSV media engines on Intel-based computers. There are many advancements introduced in the latest update. Moreover, the app can work with an open BSD. Also, Mac versions provide efficient support and translation options for many languages, including Japanese.

As in 2017, the app must be downloaded from its original resources; a clone link was presented on a website that contains a Trojan that gave the app root access.
