Honor unveils Honor Pad V8 with Dimensity 8020 chip
Honor Pad V8 Pro was the flagship device of the company introduced at the end of 2022. The device was provided with a 12.1” 144Hz IMAX display. The 8/128GB unit of the Honor Pad V8 Pro was priced at CNY 2,600. As of now, the company has unveiled a non-Pro version of the tablet i.e., Honor Pad V8. Reportedly, the 8/128GB version is available for CNY1,900 whereas the 8/256GB version is priced at CNY 2,000. It is available for pre-order in China.
Feature specifications of the Honor Pad V8
Honor Pad V8 comes with an 11” display. It is provided with an IPS LCD. It offers a 2,560 x 1,600px resolution same as the Pro model. However, it offers a comparatively less refresh rate i.e., 120Hz. It is accompanied by a 7,250mAh capacity small battery. It supports 22.5W charging. Whereas the Pro version was accompanied by a 10,050mAh battery that supports 35W charging.
The most interesting thing about Honor Pad V8 is that it is powered by Dimensity 8020 chipset-the first device to use this chipset. Dimensity 8020 is a 6nm chip. It consists of four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz and four A55 cores at 2.0GHz. A Mali-G77 MC9 is also included. The tablet features 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage, and a microSD slot.
The devices come with MagicUI 6.1, which is based on Android 12. On the connectivity side, the device comes with support for Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.1. Quad speakers with DTS:X Ultra support and a USB-C port are also provided. The tablet is 7.3mm thick. It weighs around 485g. The back of the device is provided with vegan leather in two color options i.e., brown and gray.
Furthermore, the device comes with the option to be paired with a Magic Pencil 3 stylus or a Magic Keyboard (or both). There is no information on whether the company will introduce the Pad V8 outside of China or not. Since the Pro version has not wither made its international debut.
