How to get your Account Verified on Instagram

Earlier it was almost impossible to get your account verified on Instagram unless you knew a famous person or a relevant individual for the job.

Now the whole verification procedure has been made simpler by Instagram by adding new tools embedded in the Instagram App.  It does not make the qualification for the blue stick easier but the requesting procedure is now simpler.

How to get your account verified on Instagram?

Click on the Menu Icon

Select Settings right at the bottom

Tap ‘ ‘Request Verification’

In order to complete the request procedure add your username, full name and then upload your picture. Instagram guarantees that this information will not be shared with anyone.

Now after you have requested for the verification of your account, you need to relax and wait. The response will be given directly in the Instagram’s notification tab. Remember that if you are not a famous public figure, chances are quite slim that your account will get verified.

New security features have been announced as well that will provide more info on the accounts you follow. ‘About This Account’ feature will give extra information on those accounts that ‘reach large audiences’. This will allow users to know whether those accounts are real or fake. Furthermore, it will also include the date when the account was created, the country of origin, username changes etc.
