How to set Zong 3G/4G LTE internet, GPRS, and MMS settings

Mobile network operator company, Zong is the first telecom operator in Pakistan to launch 4G LTE for its users in Pakistan.

The parent organizations of Zong are China Mobile, China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. So far, in Pakistan, Zong is providing a best 3G/4G LTE internet services.

Most of the Android phones automatically retrieve the official 3G/4G LTE internet settings form the network operator. But if due to any reasons you aren’t getting the internet setting automatically on your mobile phone, do not worry about it you can set that up manually.

Follow the below steps to activate Zong’s 3G/4G LTE internet on your Android phone:

Step 1. Go to the Setting > wireless and networks > mobile networks > Access Point Names.
Step 2. Find the ‘add’ button on the screen and tap on it.
Step 3.  Enter the following details:
  • Name: Zong Internet (anything you like)
  • Access Point Name (APN): zonginternet
  • Access Point Name (APN) Type: default
  • Authentication Type: None
  • Username / Login Name: (leave it black)
  • Password: (leave it black)
Step 4. Just leave the remaining fields black or as they are and save these changes.

Follow the below steps to activate Zong’s 3G/4G LTE internet on your iPhone/iOS device:

Step 1. Go to the Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Mobile Data Network.

Step 2.  Enter the following details:

  • Access Point Name (APN): zonginternet
  • Username / Login Name: (leave it black)
  • Password: (leave it black)

Follow these step to set up Zong’s MMS settings:

Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks >Access Point Names.

Press the ‘Menu’ key and select “New APN”.

Now use the following settings:

  • Name: MMS
  • APN: zongmms
  • MMSC: http://10.81.6.11:8080
  • MMS Proxy: 10.81.6.33
  • MMS Port: 8000
  • MMS Protocol:: WAP 2.0 (Only if it asks you)
  • MCC: 410 (should be there by default)
  • MNC: 01 (use whatever is there by default)
  • APN type: mms

You can leave all the other fields blank as they are and save these settings.
