HTC U11 EYEs will be announced on January 15

HTC is all set to announce its new flagship HTC U11 Eye on January 15, the company has confirmed it through its Webio official account. The Taiwanese company will be launching its smartphone in 3 major Asian countries including Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong.

Earlier leaks suggest that HTC U11 will be launching with EYEs moniker as confirmed by Evan Blass in his tweet. The moniker, however, suggests camera-centric smartphone. The previous HTC smartphone with Eye moniker, the Desire Eye had a massive front shooter.

According to the press invite by the company, the image shows two camera lenses pointing at dual camera setup that could be either at the front or back.

However, previous reports indicated the mid-range device with 5.99-inch display with18:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 652 SoC Octa-core would be phone’s engine to drive it more powerfully. Also, the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage would make it stand out among other brands, Android Nougat. Some reports also suggest even more powerful SoC the Snapdragon 660. But it will be all cleared within 3 days whether the phone is carrying 652 or 660 variant of Snapdragon. However, Evan Blass’s latest tweet suggests Snapdragon 652.

The battery is reportedly having the capacity of 3930mAh and the rear cameras would be 5MP+5MP dual camera setup. So the confirmed thing as yet is only the date of the announcement which is January 15, the phone is expected to come with price tag 2599Yuan to 3599Yuan.
