Huawei First ARM-Based Laptop Qingyun L410

For the first time, Huawei has developed a notebook that is based entirely on hardware produced in China. The Huawei L410 is basically an ARM-based laptop with a Huawei Kirin 990 SoC in the housing of a MateBook and will initially only be available locally.

The Huawei Qingyun L410 has actually been around for a few months, as it appeared a long time ago in Huawei’s own online documentation for the Linux derivative UOS. The device now actually seems to be on the market, with Huawei wanting to call prices of the equivalent of almost 1000 euros for it.

Technically, the 14-inch notebook is based on a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 990 Octacore SoC, which was used in some high-end smartphones from the Huawei Mate and Huawei P series about two years ago. The chip has two particularly powerful cores with a maximum of 2.86 gigahertz and two other strong cores with a maximum of 2.09 gigahertz. In addition, four energy-saving computing cores with 1.8 GHz are integrated.

In addition, eight gigabytes of LPDDR4 RAM and either 256 or 512 gigabytes of UFS-based flash memory are integrated. Basically, there is a mainboard with smartphone technology under the hood. The device also has a fingerprint reader and the 720p webcam, which is camouflaged between the function keys on other Huawei notebooks.
