Huawei in Difficult Times – Stores are Getting Low Inventory

Huawei is facing a crucial time surviving in its line of smartphone business since the US imposed a ban on the company. The company is well aware of the situation and agrees that it is indeed in difficult times. This led to a shortage of smartphones in the market, even in its own homeland.

According to several reports, Huawei smartphones are largely unavailable in China. A Huawei fan also shared a similar story when he said:

“It’s not just that our store that is out of stock. If you go to other stores in Beijing, or stores across the country, the situation is similar”. 

Moreover, it is said that there only two or three models in the stock, and some even have only one model, having a very little inventory.

Huawei’s consumer business CEO, Yu Chengdong, desperately noted:

“In less than two years, the United States imposed four rounds of sanctions on Huawei. The business is in extreme dilemma and cannot be shipped. The high-end products are mainly given to Apple”. 

Yu Chengdong further added:

“Huawei’s high-end mobile phones and tablets market share in China are now taken by Apple. For the mid-range and low-end share, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are claiming it. Our global market share is been divided between Samsung, Apple, and a few Chinese manufacturers”.
