Huawei is Most Likely to Resolve the 5G Issue by 2022

Since the US’s sanctions, Huawei is surrounded by a number of troubles. First, the company was banned from direct dealing with the country. And now this step back to 4G issue due to shortage of SoCs. But the company is likely to resolve this issue by 2022.

In the most recent events, we came to know that the company will be able to resolve the 5G issue by the next year. The company’s recent release was the P50 series that came in two versions – one with Snapdragon 888 SoC and the other with Kirin 9000 SoC. None of these two devices support the 5G network.

According to details from a source, we learned that there are essentially two types of waves for 5G devices – Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) and Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW). BAW is the first choice for 5G, which is hugely captured by the US Broadcom (Braddcom, AVAGO) that accounts for 87% of the global market. And then there is one more US-based company holding around 8% of the market share. That means Huawei is 95% behind the chance to score for BAW. then we have SAW, whose market share is captured by the US and Japan to up to 70%, giving very low room for Huawei to score this SAW.

However, there are reports claiming that Huawei and the Chines industry are moving fast to getting the 5G technology in hand. According to a source, we learned that Huawei Mate 50 will come with the Snapdragon 898 SoC by Q2 of 2022, which will help the company get back on track.
