Huawei Mate 60 series receive several new features via the system update

The Mate 60 series was quite a huge success for Huawei. In the second half of 2023, the company debuted the Mate 60 series with 5G connectivity support. With the help of this series, Huawei managed to regain its top lead in the Chinese market. Reportedly, the company gained its lost market share from Apple and other competitors.

Moving forward, the company is putting in all its efforts to sustain the growth it has gained. Huawei is rolling out several software updates to improve the user experience. Recently, the company rolled out a new firmware update, which includes several improvements and a few beneficial tools. An OTS system update has been rolled out for the Huawei Mate 60 and the Huawei Mate 60 Pro. The firmware version of the phones has been updated to HarmonyOS 4.0.0.158 using the most recent software build.

The official changelog indicates that the system update comprises an AR measurement tool. This app can be used to measure different parameters, like height, volume, and length. In addition to this, there is an AI Cloud Enhancement dedicated to portrait photos. In simple words, photos captured in portrait mode can now use beauty filters. There are several improvements for the camera app, including optimizations that will enhance the user experience while using the different features of the app.

Finally, the authentication system has been optimized with the updated firmware. Improvements are made to both face unlock and fingerprint unlock. The size of the OTA software update is 881 MB. Because it is being implemented in batches, certain units can receive it before others. In any case, this update should be available to all users in the next few days.
