Huawei Starts Early Roll Out Of EMUI 11 Huawei P40 Pro Receives The Update

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has apparently started distributing the update to EMUI 11 in the final version to the first users. The Huawei P40 Pro has recently received the update.

As Huawei Ailesi reports from Turkey, owners of the Huawei P40 Pro located there have recently received the final upgrade to EMUI issue 11 and can install it on their devices. Huawei last announced the update for December 2020, but now delivery apparently starts a few days earlier than expected.

According to the report, the update for the Huawei P40 Pro has the version number 11.0.0.151. Among other things, it brings the new “Smart Always-On-Display” feature, which makes it possible to use any themes and animations. In addition, any images, videos, or GIF files can be displayed on the always-on display. In addition, the EMUI 11 also has a revised function for handling multiple apps in multi-window operation. The apps can be displayed in floating windows of different sizes and, if necessary, placed in a sidebar so that you can switch quickly and flexibly. There are also some other innovations, including improved screen sharing on a PC desktop.

Just because some users are already receiving the EMUI 11 update for the P40 Pro does not necessarily mean the start of a broad-based delivery. Experience has shown that it can take several months from the start of distribution before the update is really offered to all users. Like EMUI 10.x, EMUI 11 is based on Android 10 and does not include an upgrade to Android 11 in the case of the P40 Pro. Huawei has not yet announced any plans to upgrade to the latest version of the Google operating system.
