Huawei to help establish the electric vehicle industry in China

Huawei has reportedly invested over $1 billion in smart car components this year. It is informed that Huawei Car offers complete functions.

Recently, Huawei held the 18th Global Analyst Conference at its Shenzhen headquarters. Vice-chairman Huawei, Xu Zhijun, says that Huawei’s component has been put into market use. The VC said:

Our team is doing the best, and I certainly hope they do the best. I don’t know if we brag about it. They told me that our car can achieve 1,000 kilometers of uninterrupted autonomous driving in the urban area, which is much better than Tesla

However, it is to mention that Huawei itself is not planning to build these electric vehicles, it aims to “help car companies build good cars.”

According to Xu Zhijun, Huawei is in talks with at least three brands that’ll be building these smart vehicles:

  • BAIC New Energy – They’ll build the ARCFOX Polar Fox brand
  • Chongqing Changan
  • Guangzhou Automobile

According to the report, most of these cars will have Huawei’s logo inside them.
