Huawei to meet UK 5G security demand

Huawei agrees to meet the UK security demands in 5G network connectivity in order to avoid a ban from future 5G telecom networks.

According to the report published by FT, Chinese giant Huawei Technologies Co Ltd has agreed with UK security officials to meet the UK demands and eliminate the risks that are found in equipment and software.

Huawei senior executives and senior officials from GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre had a meeting this week about the concerns, risks, and security pertinent to Huawei technologies.

Huawei Technologies has agreed with several technical and security demands by the UK officials, the company will change its practices while operating in the UK, FT has reported citing two people with knowledge of the decisions made.

Huawei Technologies has been facing many difficulties in the promotion of 5G technologies; the company has also faced fierce restrictions by the European countries and the US. Recently, New Zealand has put a ban on Huawei 5G update due to security reasons, moreover, US has also started a campaign to ban Huawei from entering into the western market.
