Huawei Watch Fit 2: New fitness smartwatch with bigger screen

Huawei plans to launch the second edition of its in-house fitness smartwatch, the Huawei Watch Fit 2, soon. The new watch again has an elongated, rectangular display, which is now somewhat larger and should be available for 150 euros. The Huawei Watch Fit 2 uses the same concept as its predecessor. Huawei combines an elongated display with an affordable platform so that you can ultimately offer up to 10 days of battery life and extensive fitness functions at a relatively low price.

Big screen, big battery, same run time

The screen has grown slightly to a diagonal of 1.74 inches and is said to offer a relatively high resolution of 336 x 480 pixels. Under the hood is probably an economical ARM Cortex-M SoC, about which the manufacturer does not provide further details. The operating system is now Harmony OS 2.0, which Huawei equips with a variety of functions.

The Huawei Watch Fit 2 is said to support tracking over 100 different sports and in addition to recording heart rate and step counts, it can also monitor blood oxygen saturation, sleep quality, and stress levels. Other features include a 292 mAh battery, which has grown a bit compared to the previous model. Apparently, this does not change the duration of up to 10 days.

Huawei is also installing support for Bluetooth 5.2 and a GPS receiver so that the Huawei Watch Fit 2 can also be used as a tracker on its own and can also be used in combination with the smartphone to make calls. The watch is water resistant to up to 50 ATM and always comes in a metal case that is available with different bracelets. The customer can choose between plastic, leather, and metal bracelets. Huawei, therefore, offers the Huawei Watch Fit 2 in the variants “Active”, “Classic” and “Elite”, just like the recently launched Huawei Watch GT3 Pro.
