iMessages And Facetime Also Affected In iPhone 14
As Apple has announced earlier that iPhone 14 and 14 pro users may get difficulties activating their devices due to the major issue in the new iOS 16, Apple has issued a support document as well on this problem.
It has also been recognized that iPhone 14 users may get problems in using their Facetime and iMessage, the culprit behind all this is the bug in iOS 16 which is not fully resolved yet. According to the details provided by 9to5Google, green bubbles appear instead of blue while contacting another iMessage user and the users on the other side may see the messages coming from the account.
Apple has released the iOS 16.0.1 update in order to resolve these issues regarding iPhone 14 activation along with Facetime and iMessage.
But it takes time to reach and prompt for updating the iOS, obviously, users have to activate the new iPhone 14 and 14 pro first in order to get the update on their hands. However, Apple has also fixed this problem, as a new customer having a brand new iPhone 14, the device may prompt you to upgrade before reaching your home screen, if you do not get prompted, you may also use a manual method to update your device to iOS 16.0.1 by going to Settings>>General>>Software Update.
There could be anything in doing this right, If you still face iMessage and FaceTime problems even after updating to iOS 16.0.1, you now need to play around with the iMessage settings a bit. According to Apple you first need to check Settings -> Cellar and make sure your phone line is enabled.
You then, open Settings >> Messages >> Send & Receive. Tap the phone number that you want to use for iMessage. Open Settings >> FaceTime and tap the phone number you want to use with FaceTime.
By following the above-mentioned steps you will be able to reset the activation process for these services and your iPhone 14 and 14 pro would work properly.
